Updating to Aero

All Spirit units can be operated with firmware for helicopters and firmware for airplanes. Pilot can decide where the unit will be used and then flash according firmware.

Firmware for airplanes is called "Spirit Aero". Firmware for heclipters is called just "Spirit".

1 Update to Aero

1. Download firmware for Aero from Aero Web page.
2. Power up the Spirit unit and wait for the initialization.
3. Open Spirit Settings software that you are using for helicopters (on your computer).
4. Click at the Update tab and select the firmware (usually from Downloads directory).
5. Press the Flash button and wait until the process is done.
6. Close the Spirit Settings software and unplug the power.
7. Download and install Spirit Aero software from the Aero web page. From this point you can open Aero software to configure all parameters.

1.1 Notes

• Firmware flashing can be done also with already installed Spirit Aero software.
• Pilot can return anytime to the helicopter firmware by flashing Spirit firmware for helicopters. It is advised to Backup settings from the unit.
• Units called Spirit Aero are already shipped with Spirit Aero firmware and can be used only with this firmware.
