The Rescue mode is used for model recovery from a situations where the pilot is unable to control it with a confidence. The Rescue, so called Bailout, is activated by the pilot remotely with a preferred switch on the transmitter. During normal flight it should be inactive.

Whenever it is needed, the pilot can hold a switch or a button which will engage the recovery. As long as the switch is in active position, the Rescue will be engaged too. Immediately after returning a switch/button to inactive position, the pilot will get full control of the model again.

We highly recommend to use a momentary switch, which will return to the original position on its own. Thus it is easy to activate and deactivate the rescue just for a very short period of time.

Characteristics

Upon activation of the Rescue (Normal) the model will perform the following:

  1. Collective pitch will be set automatically to allow ascending (depending on the Rescue collective parameter).
  2. Model will rotate as fast as possible to recover the Horizontal position (depending on the Cyclic Ring settings).
  3. The model will ascend in inverted position (or position which is closer) for configured Acro Delay period. Then will flip so the skids are down. If Acro Delay is 0.0s, the flip will occur immediately after the activation.
  4. The model will ascend as long as the mode is active with skids down.

Info.png Pilot have still possibility to control the model - depending on the Sticks priority value. Collective pitch will be fully controlled by the unit.

Warning.png Due to high demands for a power supply (BEC) it is recommended to verify that it can handle high current spikes! These will occur in the moment of activation. You can use the BEC Tester built-in in the Spirit Settings software.

Warning.png Do not set too high angles for the Cyclic pitch (Cyclic Ring - Aileron/Elevator Range parameter) else the boom strike may occur! To prevent this, it is recommended to not exceed recommended angles by manufacturer of the model and to maintain moderate head speed.
