Spektrum Avian ESCs are able to provide full telemetry through a single connection of the ESC throttle cable. The same cable is used to transfer throttle signal back to the ESC. The transmission is bi-directional.

1 Interfacing
1.1 Spirit GT, Spirit GTR, Spirit W1
Connect the ESC Throttle cable at the CH0 port. This port is no longer used for a Swashplate servo.
2 Spirit Settings
Power up the model and start the Spirit Settings as usually.
2.1 Telemetry activation
Make sure you have Throttle Channel assigned in the General/Channels window. It is recommended to set Channel 1 for Throttle.
Then set ESC Telemetry in the Spirit Settings software.
Go to the Advanced/Telemetry settings and set the Spektrum Avian option.
Then close the window and save the settings (CTRL+S). Finally, reconnect battery from the ESC.
From this moment, everything should work.
3 Displaying telemetry data
You can display telemetry data directly in your radio from now.
