Spirit Air is R/C Model Simulator developed in-house by Spirit System. It features advanced physics simulating full flybarless unit in the real life environment.

Thanks to using the most advanced rendering Vulkan technology it can fluently work natively on the Spirit Wave radios. You can train at any moment without a computer or internet access.

1 Installation

Spirit Air can be installed on any Wave radio system from the App Store. Please open Apps/App Store - Games - Spirit Air page. Then press Install. After downloading and installing you will be able to find it directly at the Apps - 2nd page.

2 Features

Presently Spirit Air has full support for 3D Helicopter acrobatics including Autorotation.

2.1 Model Steering

Model steering is done through radio gimbals and is mapped according your Stick Mode. This mean there is no need to do any calibration or adjustments. Similarly Throttle can be turned Off with Throttle Hold switch that is configured as Default at the Spirit OS - Configuration - Controls page.

2.2 Screen Mirroring

Screen Mirroring is fully supported by Spirit Air. In order to get maximum performance out of Wireless connection it was necessary to use special Low Latency protocols. Our first option that we are introducing is through UDP/MJPEG stream to reach sub 50ms latency.

Current method is suitable for more experienced users, while we are working on a simple One click solution.

2.2.1 VLC

Using VLC media player you can open Stream at any Device that is supported by VLC, including TVs, Tablets, Smartphones and Computers.

First from all it is needed to get IP address of your device, where do you wish to display Video stream.

With Windows 11 PC you can do so in this way:

  1. Open Settings (press Win + I).
  2. Go to Network & Internet.
  3. Select: - Wi-Fi, then click on the connected network OR Ethernet (if using a wired connection).
  4. Scroll down to Properties. Find IPv4 address — this is your local IP address.

Then you can finally launch the Spirit Air.

  1. Start Spirit Air and enable Screen Mirroring
  2. Enter IP address of your target device and port. For example: "192.168.0.10:1234"
  3. Press FLY!

You can open Video Stream in this way:
